Christmas Day Virtual 5k

Our normal Christmas Day routine was altered yesterday as Christine and I decided to run a virtual 5k in support of an online acquaintance who is racing for Team in Training.  Our goal was to do an easy run since both of us had just completed tough long runs over the weekend.  The day was warm at 9:15am when we finally headed out the door for our pretend 5k!  Donning our "gay apparel", and no headphones, we thought it would be fun to enjoy the holiday decor in the neighborhood.

We even decided which house should get the imaginary prize we dreamed up for having the best decorations!  While our run took about 30 minutes, I mistakenly had us about a half mile from home when we had completed 3.1 miles.  We walked home as our cool down which worked out fine.  Upon opening the door to the house, we smelled the delicious cinnamon role casserole that had baked while we were gone.  We both grabbed a plate and dug in.  Let the Christmas day feasting begin!  We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with your families.  Only 364 days until next Christmas!

  1. Sounds like you both had a great time!! Love your skirts! :0)

  2. Glad you both had a good time running!
