Marathon Weekend 411

We both belong to many facebook groups that pertain to Disney races.  One of the things I've noticed is that people often miss the basic info that's on the runDisney site and questions are often repeated on these pages...not that that's a bad thing at all!  We figured it would be helpful to put all of the resources in one single source to help you get ready for marathon weekend!

General WDW Marathon Weekend Info: Basic race overview, Pasta Party, Race Retreat

Marathon Course Map: Shows the 26.2 miles that wind through all four parks and includes listing of locations for water stops, food stops and medical areas

Half Marathon Course Map: Shows the 13.1 mile course that winds through Magic Kingdom and finishes right outside EPCOT.  It includes listing of locations for water stops, food stops and medical areas

Family 5k Fun Run Course Map: Shows 3.1 mile course through EPCOT including a listing of locations for water stops, food stops and medical areas

Mickey Mile Kids Race Course Map: A 1 mile course at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex

Kid's Race Registration (not full yet!)

ChEAR Squad Registration: Did you know you can get the bronze package that contains general information for FREE?!

Proof of Time: We've passed the time when you can email runDisney to get an updated time for corral placement.  If you have a faster time (10k or greater distance), bring a printout with the information to the Expo and look for the Runner Relations booth.

Pre-Register for a commemorative Dooney and Bourke purse: Thank goodness Disney found an alternative to the Black Friday-esque mobs for these bags at the expo!

Frequently Asked Questions: One of the best resources on the runDisney Marathon Weekend page.  Click on the far right tab that says "FAQs"

And here's some more very helpful info from our Team #runDisney buddy Matt.

  1. The d&b purse is new this year! I love the Mickey mouse line but not for $280.

I'm getting excited about the race, can't wait to get the email with my bib number and final race instructions!

    1. We also can't wait for the email and to print our waivers!

  2. I'll be there at the half, can't wait!

    1. YAY! Hope to see you at some point during the weekend!

  3. And a meetup!
