Celebrating a PR

The running world is an awesome place for getting insight into challenges, learning about new training options or just commiserating about a crummy training run.  It's also amazing for celebrating a PR.  Its members know what it means to crush a 10k, to struggle through a marathon, yet still improve, and to chip away a bit of time here or there.  While I simply adore my friends and family, the running community *gets* a PR in a way that they simply cannot.  So you can imagine our excitement with the overwhelming support and love when we both PR'ed our races yesterday.  A selection of just some of the amazing tweets...

It is amazing to feel this level of support after a big race.  And this is a small fraction of the awesome tweets we received and doesn't even cover the Facebook and email love.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us, both in good times and bad.  For now, we're still reveling in the excitement of new PRs!

  1. Congrats to both of you! Looks like all your hard work is really paying off! I've been a bit "lazy" about doing speed work, but I'd love to PR the half marathon distance soon so I'm really going to work on making sure I get some in!

    Congrats again!
