Shopping the runDisney Booth at the Race Expo!

We are nuts about the runDisney Expos (as evidenced here, here, and here!).  In fact, we plan our time at the expo very carefully so we don't miss out on any possible thing we might need to purchase for running or any other activity.  The booth that we enjoy the most though, is the official runDisney booth.  It includes many clothing items including "I Did It" shirts, technical fabric training shirts, jackets, hooded sweatshirts, headbands, glass wear, pins.  You get the picture.  You can spend hours in this booth choosing all sorts of fun stuff that you just can't live without.  We always check out everything and plan our purchases carefully.  We try to keep from buying everything, but as you can see, we do not have a lot of restraint, especially me.  Check out my jacket collection below.
My favorite is the first one from the Disneyland Half in 2011!
I may or may not have bought a jacket at every runDisney weekend I have attended!  Christine also likes the jackets and found a really cute cotton hoodie at the Princess Expo with year.

Next are the "I Did It" shirts.  These are very popular so be sure to pick out yours when you get to the official merchandise booth.  We always wear these to the parks the day after our races and it is fun to see other runners in their shirts too.
My favorite of these is the second from the top. the shirts were v-neck at the DL Half Expo in 2011
Training shirts are another item we always look for at the expo.  It is fun running in your new technical shirt while training for the next Disney race on your calendar.
One for every day of the week!
There are many smaller items to choose from too, including race pins, magnets, headbands, drink glasses....

Pins, headband, Bondi Band and magnet

I hope Mickey can stand up after he gets his Dumbo Challenge
medals and the Coast to Coast Challenge medal!
We have a few tricks up our sleeves for the Disneyland Half expo, so make sure you keep an eye on the Facebook page for more details!

What is your favorite thing to purchase at the runDisney official merchandise booth at the expo?

  2. LOVE all your race gear from the runDisney booths! It's my favorite area too - I got the Mickey Vinylmation and car decal for the Princess Half this year and can't wait to add another tiny medal on Mickey for TOT soon!

  3. Wow, you have quite the runDisney collection! I really hope runDisney starts making more tank tops, I don't really wear t-shirts and I hate running with sleeves (well I am ok with long sleeves in winter!), so until they start selling tanks my collection is going to be pretty minimal : (

I had started getting a wine glass for ever race I did, but then I realized I would have A HUGE wine glass collection at the rate I was going so I switched it up to a wine glass only for the first time I did a race - hopefully they'll have a Dumbo wine glass!

    1. Kinda ridiculous collection right? I use the jackets all winter when I go to the gym, so that is my excuse for those and I do wear the shirts too. The I Did It shirts will be used in a tee shirt quilt at some time in the future! I hope you find a wine glass at the Dumbo expo.

  4. My sister has a collection of pins, magnets, and headbands but our clothing collection is minimal due to us not being able find our sizes. Those shirts really go quick! We're hoping to get to the Princess expo earlier next year so we have a chance at getting some merchandise. I felt bad for my sister this year because she completed her first marathon at WDW and couldn't even find a shirt in her size to commemorate it. They really sold out fast. I wish they would start selling more Rundisney merchandise online! Good luck finding all your goodies in Disneyland! Can't wait to see what you bring back!

    1. You really have to be at the expo the first day to get the good variety of sizes. Both of us wear the smaller sizes and they seem to go first.

  7. Would you say the RunDisney booth at DW is a little more substantial than at DL? Whenever I go to DL, I'm just not impressed. Judging by photos I see, hey seem to roll out all kinds of stuff for Princess.

    1. Jennifer I thought there was a nice selection at DL when I was there two years ago for the half marathon. Perhaps the Princess race has more stuff, but I loved what I got in CA.

    1. Kristen, I know it looks ridiculous that I have all those jackets, but I wear one every day to the gym for about 6 months of the year. A girl needs variety too!

  10. Love your collection! We won't be able to make it to the expo on day 1 during PHM weekend in February. What are the chances we'll be able to pick up a couple of medium "I did it" shirts on day 2?

    1. Amy, I think you are probably alright. The Princess race will be in it's 6th year so they are better at figuring out how much merchandise to have available. I would head straight to the runDisney merchandise booth when you go on Day 2.

  11. I LOVE the runDisney booth! I hate that everything sells out so fast though! During Marathon weekend this year they were sold out of I Did It shirts for the marathon. I was sooo sad!

    1. Sorry Mindy, that would have been so disappointing. I love all the stuff, but you do have to be at expo early to get a crack all the stuff.

  13. On my list are "I did it" t-shirts for me and my fiancé (this will be his first Half!!!) and possibly some Coast to Coast merch (just in case we don't get to the expo early in FL this November for Wine & Dine). It is hard to have restraint!!!

  14. I have 3 of the jackets (DL Half 2011, 2012 and Goofy 2013) and I always wear my blue 2011 jacket. It's my favorite!
