Weekly Roundup: September 8th

This was a fantastic week for both of us. Our trip to Disneyland was wonderful and we have many memories of all the fun we had at Walt's park.  It is surprising how much different in feels at the parks in California versus the ones in Florida that we are much more familiar with.

 Our half marathon race was really fun and we completed it with smiles at the finish line! Not only did Christine PR the Disneyland Half last Sunday, but she also met a new running milestone by completing a 19 mile training run.  The Marine Corps Marathon is just 7 weeks away, and I can't wait to be cheering her on virtually!


So here is our week of workouts.  Christine knocked it out of the park with mileage and I kept to my training plan that is now the Dopey plan!

Sunday, September 1st
Pam: Disneyland Half Marathon 13.1 miles
Christine:  Disneyland Half Marathon  13.1 miles

Monday, September 2nd
Pam:  Walkedmany miles at Disneyland and California Adventure Park
Christine: Walked many miles at the parks

Tuesday, September 3rd
Pam: Rest day - traveled back to east coast
Christine: Rese day - traveled back to east coast

Wednesday, September 4th
Pam: Ran 4 miles, easy pace, walked and carried 9 holes golf
Christine: 30 min stationary bike, abs, upper body weights

Thursday, September 5th
Pam: 9 holes golf, 20 minutes biking, 1500 meters rowing, weights 20 minutes
Christine: 5.25 miles on the treadmill with some hill work

Friday, September 6th
Pam: Ran 5 miles with average pace 9:15
Christine: Rest day

Saturday, September 7th
Pam: 45 minute bike ride
Christine: 19 miles in 3:18

  1. Highlight of last week = definitely the Disneyland Half on Sunday! Hard to believe that was a week ago!! You ladies get props from me, I took most of this week off before I start marathon training next week.
