My Tutu for WDW Marathon Weekend!

Another first for this girl here!  I will be sporting a tutu for the WDW Family 5K fun run in January.  Christine and I decided to make the Dopey Challenge less stressful and use/reuse costumes and running clothes that are already in our closets.  While we love to dress up, this will be a hard weekend with 4 races and it is more practical to go with some favorites.  However, Lesley, from Greater Fitness contacted us several months ago and asked if we would like to wear one of her tutus in a Disney race. She started making tutus to raise money for Girls on the Run, an organization that Christine has been involved with for a while.  Subsequent to reaching her fundraising goal,  Lesley decided to start a tutu business due to their popularity!  My tutu arrived on Friday and I am thrilled with it.  However, I am keeping it a secret until January! Let's just say Lesley nailed this one! Her tutus are absolutely precious, custom made for each runner/wearer!  Here are some samples of her designs!  Aren't they pretty?

Samples of Lesley's beautiful tutus!

Here is a custom order that she made for Heather at Through Heather's Looking Glass  Adorable right?

Cruella de Ville for the Tower of Terror 10 miler.

If you are interested in a custom made to order tutu, Lesley is more than happy to help you out.  Here are some of the details if you would like to order and right now, she is offering a discount to the readers of We Run Disney.  You can receive 10% off your entire order, but be sure to mention that We Run Disney sent you!

Adults (ages 13+) are $25, children (ages 5-12) are $12, and babies (ages newborn-4) are $8. Shipping is $3. We Run Disney readers will receive 10% off their entire order! :-)
To order you just need to send Lesley an email (greaterfitnessblog@gmail.com) so that she can discuss your custom design.  She also has a paypal account for easy payment.

Disclosure:  Lesley provided me with a tutu to wear in my upcoming race.  I was not compensated in any way for this post.  The opinions provided here are my own.

  1. Those are adorable!! I like your idea of making the costume picking proccess less stressful. The Wine and Dine will be my first race that I've ever dressed in a costume and I am curious how it will go. For the WDW Marathon Cyanne and I plan on doing something cute and simple. I can't imagine running with Minnie ears on for 26.2...although I'm sure it's been done! :)
Can't wait to see your costumes!

    1. Karen we have always worn super comfy race costumes, but this will be a little different. I think for a 5k you can go all out since it is a fun run anyway!

    1. I may look ridiculous in a tutu, but since I never took ballet as a child, this is my "recital"!

  6. I like the fact that you are repurposing previous race clothes/outfits. I think we may be doing that as well! Those tutus are super cute and reasonably priced! Can't wait to see your outfits!

    1. Thanks M and L. We love dressing up, but that weekend will be stressful with 4 days of racing. Simple costumes will make it easier! Will we see you there?
