Race Retreat for Dopey Challenge

This week, my fingers went crazy and somehow we are now registered for the race retreat for the Dopey Challenge.  Christine sent me a text a few minutes after I registered both of us, asking about it!  So, my secret was not so secret after all! It was going to be a surprise at Christmas!

The precious Dopey medal that we can't wait to earn in January!

Race retreat was always something I considered an unnecessary luxury to race weekend and something I would never pay for.  However, when thinking about the long weekend of races in January, a little comfort sounded nice.  Megan from Runners Guide to Walk Disney World gave me some advice based on her experience with race retreat last year and it sealed the deal. We won't be spending alot of time in the parks between races and having breakfast in the tent and some fun extras will be really nice.  Most of all, I look forward to a place to eat and relax prior to the half and full marathon races.  Here is the information about what is included in the package, direct from the runDisney page:

  1. I'm doing the Race Retreat for Dopey so I'll see you in there!

    1. Emilie, That will be fun. I think it is a great idea for 4 days in a row!

  2. I haven't, but if I were doing this DOOZY of a race weekend I'd opt for it! You're going to do so great - I admire you guys and your bravery!

    1. Hey Kat, You might call it stupidity! I think we are nuts, but the bling will be worth it!

  3. I haven't done the race retreat yet, but my husband got the Platinum Chear Package at Princess this year, and he said it was great! I also agree that if anyone should get the retreat, the Goofy & Dopey participants should - they definitely deserve the extra comfort!
