Weekly Roundup - November 17th

This was such a fun week beginning last Sunday morning with a run through Epcot to the finish line of the Wine and Dine half marathon. We had a great time at both the races and had a recovery week before we jump back into Dopey training.
Christine got a high five from runner Mickey just before she crossed the finish line!

The weather was unseasonably cold earlier this week, and tights and a jacket were necessary for my early morning runs. We actually had snow flurries one night and I live in North Carolina. This is not normal for this time of year, but I'll take it over rain!

That's right, that is snow outside the gym windows on November 13th!

So here is a recap of our weekly workouts.  It was nice to have a more relaxed week with the many many miles that are on our schedules for the next 52 days until WDW marathon weekend!

Sunday, November 10th 
Pam: walked 5 miles at HS and Magic Kingdom
Christine: walked 5 miles at HS and Magic Kingdom

Monday, November 11th
Pam: rest day
Christine: 4 mile run, leg weights

Tuesday, November 12th
Pam:  1 hour Yoga class
Christine: 4 mile run

Wednesday, November 13th
Pam: 35 min elliptical, weights, plank, sit ups
Christine: rest day

Thursday, November 14th
Pam: ran 3.25 miles average page 9:00
Christine: 4.25 mile run

Friday, November 15th
Pam: W/O Limits workout 1 mile easy, then 9:00, fast 200 X2, 7:53 mile, 200 easy, 1 mile 10:00
  4.75 miles total
Christine: stretching

Saturday, November 16th
Pam: rest day, walked/carried 9 holes golf
Christine: outlet shopping…that should count for something right?!

  1. Good luck with the upcoming Dopey training! I had to step right back into marathon training after the Wine & Dine weekend (can't stop now, right?). The good news is that it was a Hal Higdon "step back" week, but that still meant runs of 3, 7, 4, and 10 miles...Looking ahead, though, the mileage starts getting really fun over the next six weeks. :-)
