2013: Year in Review

You didn't think we would pass up an opportunity to recap our year, did you? :)  Plus we like photos and videos so you probably know what is coming in this post.  So without further chatter, here you go!

And now, for the more boring stuff….a quick summary of our 2013 from each of us.

From Christine: It was the year of the unexpected - my goals changed, completed my first race challenge, conquered my first 26.2, and ran 1000 miles.

From Pam: This year was cloaked in a great deal of personal sadness with the loss of several family members.  From a running standpoint, I was overjoyed to complete Goofy's Challenge (and my first marathon) in January and run my first sub-2:00 half marathon in October.

What was your biggest accomplishment this year?

  4. What a great video! Seeing all the great Disney memories made me just a little more anxious to get to Disney for Marathon weekend. Can't believe I'll be there one week from today! And thanks for including me in your video - that 10k PR was by far my favorite race memory from this year!

  6. I started running just about a year ago, seriously. My daughter got me a garmin watch for my b-day Jan.2013. I had run off and on for the year before the watch. So at 55 I ran 3. 5K. Races and a 4miler! Still aiming for a 10 min/mi ...getting close. I have done a10:16.

  9. I love so much that you share the bound of running together - mother and daughter. It's so fantastic and it shines through that you are as much friends as you are family. Congrats for a great 2013 and here's to a fantastic year to come!

  10. Love it! Great video! My big accomplishment this year (after a year of emotional lows, and serious, serious lack of training for last 3/4 of the year), was doing 2 races in one day (Jingle Jungle 5k and Wine n Dine half), with no training for doing 2 a day ever; my first 2 a day runs, were the actual races, and I came out better than I expected to!
