Weekly Roundup: January 5th

This was our final week of taper before heading to Florida and the Walt Disney World marathon weekend.  Organizing and packing for a race week that includes 4 races has been challenging.  Thankfully, Christine put together a list and I am just copying her and filling bags with all my necessities for each race.  You can read her post here in case you missed it. Now we wait for Tuesday (me) and Wednesday (Christine) to fly to Orlando.  We have our fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and there will be no flight delays for any runners flying in for race weekend.  Hope to see you there in just a few days!

My new Birthday and Christmas luggage!
Our workouts and runs seemed easy compared to the weeks we put in just before Christmas. My running days got switched around this week due to a very bad rainstorm. My Thursday group practice was  rescheduled for Friday morning and despite the cold and wind, it was far better than running in a monsoon!  Other than some cold temperatures, everything went according to plan.  We are both super excited about our upcoming trip! Here are our workouts in review:

Sunday, December 29th
Pam: 35 minutes stationary bike, stretching, rolling
Christine: 45 minutes stationary bike, Abs, stretching

Monday, December 30th
Pam: Rest day
Christine: 3.1 miles on treadmill (to bring me to 1000 miles for 2013!!)

Tuesday, December 31st
Pam:  5 mile run outside, 9:45, 9:30, 9:00, 8:35, 9:10 stretching, rolling
Christine: Rest day

Wednesday, January 1st
Pam: 30 minutes stationary bike, stretching, rolling
Christine: 30 minutes stationary bike, Abs, stretching

Thursday, January 2nd
Pam: 30 minutes bike, sit ups, stretching
Christine: 4 miles at 9:20 pace on treadmill, 1/2 mile cool down, stretching

Friday, January 3rd
Pam: 4.25 miles running 3x1200 @ 6:30, 6:25, 6:23 warm up and cool down, stretching
Christine: Rest day

Saturday, January 4th
Pam: 7 mile run average pace 9:46, stretching, rolling
Christine: 5 mile run with average pace 8:50, stretching

Will you be at Walt Disney World for the race weekend?  If so, are you dressing in costume for your race(s)?

    1. Lauren, Yes, they are the newest Vera Bradley Disney pattern. I love them and was so excited when my friend gave me the backpack for my birthday and Tom ordered the duffel for Christmas (I sent him the link).
