Thorlo Socks...choices choices!

Back in December, Women's Running magazine asked followers on Twitter what items would be great stocking stuffers.  I immediately responded with my answer that included Thorlo Experia socks.  I have been wearing this style and brand of running socks for nearly the entire time I have been running.  Before wearing this particular style I wore a thicker style of Thorlo running socks that had been my favorite socks for everything.  The kind folks at Thorlo saw my tweet and offered to send Christine and me several socks to try including the new Experia and the 84N Runner.  I was excited to receive my package of new sock!  You see, I have been a fan of Thorlo brand socks for years.  Despite having a very short running career (just over 3 years), I played competitive tennis for a long time.  Not only did my teammates need matching tennis outfits, but most of us also wore the Thorlo brand tennis socks.

2 for me and 2 for Christine!
As soon as I opened the package, I checked out the goodies to see the difference in the two styles.  The Experia socks are a tighter weave knit and offer a snug fit through the mid foot area.  The 84N socks have a thicker feel, with a nice small heel box for women. As promised, each pair was taken out for a run of about 4 miles.  The Experia socks were perfect as ever and I like the new color combinations with the black sock and hint of color on the ankle.  The 84N pair felt good and after about a mile, I forgot I was wearing a different style of Thorlo.  But when given the choice, the slightly thinner and more foot hugging Experias will always be my favorites.  It is a good thing because here is a glimpse of my sock drawer:

Have you ever tried Thorlo socks?  If not, you might want to try them!

Disclosure: We were offered these socks to try and no compensation was received for this post.  As always, the opinions stated here are my own.

  7. I need to buy another pair; my Thorlos just started to get holes in them! They are pretty much the only sock brand I wear for running.
