Flipbelt review and spoiler alert...I love this belt!

Disclosure:  I was provided a Flipbelt for review.  There was no other compensation received for this post.  As always, the opinions stated here are my own.

I recently was given the opportunity to try out the Flipbelt.  I wear a running belt almost every time I run around my neighborhood and sometimes I need to carry alot of stuff.  Cue the Flipbelt!  This belt has multiple openings to store your gear, and it can hold a phone and tons of gels.  I need 6 gels during a marathon, and this belt has the capacity to carry all them plus my phone!  Best of all, it has the option of wearing with the openings on the outside for easy access, or you can flip the belt over and your items are locked in place. With multiple colors and sizes, it is easy to find the one that has the perfect fit and color to match your running attire.

I chose black (I know, very boring) but it will match anything I wear! However, in retrospect, a color would have been fun, because the belt fits right next to your body and it can easily be covered up by a shirt or jacket.  Unlike other belts with just one pocket, this one never looks bulky and keeps very streamlined in terms of fit.

Wearing my belt with 4 GU gels and my I phone!

I took this for two test runs before writing the review and I must say, within minutes of running, I forgot I was wearing the belt.  It does not move and I had no chaffing whatsoever.  Next month, I plan to wear this for the Divas Half Marathon in North Myrtle Beach when my skirt does not have ample pockets.  It is the perfect running accessory for anyone who carries supplies on the run! This belt would also be great for bike rides, or when traveling to secure valuables such as a Passport and money.

If you would like to try Flipbelt, you can use the coupon code WRD and receive 10% off your order!

Have you tried Flipbelt?

  1. At the Princess Half Marathon weekend Expo I purchased the fluorescent yellow flipbelt.. I love it and it doubles as a great accessory to wear when it starts to get dark at night because of the reflective factor. Although I know I broke the rules by not trying anything new for princess I did wear it during the race and it worked like a charm.

    1. That's awesome Candace. You were gutsy to try something new, but the Flipbelt is such a great product! You chose the right item to "break the rules"!

  2. The FlipBelt looks amazing. I love how NOT bulky it is - I need to give it a try! Did you ever have any issues with getting a gel out of it?

    1. Lauren, I've only used it a few times, but the pockets seem really easy to navigate. I love the fit and the lack of bulk. My other belts have taken a back seat to this!

  3. I love my flipbelt! I purchased mine last minute at the Wine and Dine half expo! I love how easy it is to get stuff out (like my power chews) . I'm so glad I have this product and wear it for both my short and long distance runs! I completely agree with your review :-)

  4. I love my flipbelt! I bought on at WDW in January and wore it for the marathon. Since then I've worn it on almost all my outdoor runs- even the short ones! It's great for my keys and my phone.

    1. Sarah, I love how easily my phone slips in an out if I want to take a photo (because I sometimes see pretty things on my runs) I bet you chose a pretty color too!

  5. I don't have a flipbelt ( which looks fabulous by the way) but I do have a spibelt and another belt of another brand that has 2 pockets. It's funny that you mentioned wearing it while traveling because I have worn mine around wdw to carry my camera and phone in. I refer to as the modern day fanny pack...haha. except I love how I can wear it under my shirt and you can't see it.

    1. Meranda, I think you would love this belt because it lays so flat against your body. Plus, you forget you have it on, another huge feature for me!

    1. The lack of movement and quantity of stuff the belt holds makes it the best product of it's kind, IMHO!

  8. I'm so jealous that this worked for you (as it seems to for just about everyone!). I'm clearly not so lucky. I bought one and the darn thing makes me NUTS! It may be because I have HUGE hips, but the thing like shimmy's up my hips and ends up around my waist and I spent the entire run trying to move it back down into place : (

    1. What a bummer Danielle. It works perfectly for me and I love that it holds so much stuff....I require alot of fuel on long runs!

  9. Any room for water bottles on this belt? When you go for a long run how do you carry your water?

    1. I'm really lucky that I can hide water bottles in my neighborhood for my local runs, otherwise I use a hand carry bottle and refill it along the way. I don't think you can attach water bottles to the Flipbelt.

  10. I tried purchasing this belt with the WRD 10% off coupon code, but the website said the coupon was invalid due to overuse? ?

  11. Yes! I have one, and I love it because it's the perfect belt for wearing with my runDisney costumes -- not gonna lie. :) It's easy to put my camera/cell phone/etc. in, and easy to hide under your clothes. And like you said, it doesn't look bulky. I never even remember I'm wearing it! I will say that I do think I may need a different size, because the one I have fits around my hips (which are definitely on the larger side) and tends to ride up, so I plan to try one size smaller to see if it'll stay put around my waist that way. Thanks for the review and coupon code! :-D
