Weekly Roundup - May 25th

Summer has arrived here in North Carolina and that long cold and dreary spring seems like it was such a long time ago.  This week included some hot runs followed by some pool time which is always nice.  Our holiday weekend has included picking strawberries, meeting up with a fellow blogger (Lacey from Fairytales and Fitness) and unfortunately we had a big fail by not taking a photo. Insert sad face here!  One of the most fun things I did this week was my solo run on Saturday when I started the #SummerRunHunt, a scavenger hunt for runners, a little game Lacey and Meranda created on their blog.  Finding twenty different items (listed on their blog) on your run, snapping a photo of that item and then posting it online either on Facebook or Twitter is how it is done..  Ten miles gave me lots of opportunities to spy these items and I checked off 9 on the list.  It made the run pass quickly and gave me brief stops to take the photos with my telephone.

Wild animal was one of the first items on the list and seeing a bunny about five miles into my run was a total surprise.  He did not want to cooperate and pose for the picture, but I did get a shot of his cute white tail!  As for our workouts, I would say it was a successful week. My big mistake was not enough stretching and rolling, but the rest of my workouts were pretty good. I think I need to start doing some push ups after reading Christine's weekly workouts!
