Weekly Roundup - May 4th

What a fun week starting out with the Divas Half Marathon on Sunday, finishing up with a great run yesterday. Pacing Mitzie was a blast and I plan to recap what I can do better the next time I pace someone.  I had fun placing my two new medals on my medal rack and realize that I probably will be adding another bar sometime this year.

2 additions for my shrine!

One of my best friends, Susan called me yesterday to tell me about a little accident she had which resulted in a total hip replacement....stinks for sure, but she was doing something she loves, jumping horses.  She is highly competitive and loves the prizes just like yours truly.  So imagine my surprise when she tells me she won a "prize" for doing the most steps in rehab post hip replacement.  I laughed so hard people were staring at me in the store. (I was grocery shopping when she called)  If you have been following our blog, you know she was my tennis partner when we both were playing competitive tennis.  And we hated to lose then, and surprise surprise, we are both still anxious to get our hands on a prize. Sad but true statement!

As for workouts this week, I was thrilled with my speedier long run yesterday and overall, felt it was a great week.  My healthy diet needs an adjustment though. I have been dipping into candy far too often lately!
