Running Tower of Terror in a Rock City Skirt

Disclosure:  We were each given a skirt by Rock City Skirts to wear and review.  No other compensation was received.  All opinions stated here are as always, our own.

About a month ago, we were given the opportunity by Amy at Rock City Skirts to try out one of their skirts for the Tower of Terror 10 mile race that we participated in on Saturday night.  When we received the skirts in the mail several weeks ago, we were both really excited.  The skirts are exactly as pictured on the website and the length is perfect for running and races. They are made of a thin material with a nice comfortable elastic waist.  I love that the length is suitable for all ages, including an old lady runner! You choose your own bottoms to wear underneath, which could be compression shorts, running capris or shorts depending on the weather conditions. To me, the best part of Rock City Skirts is the numerous choices for running costumes, while staying comfortable during your race.  I'm not going to lie, when I wore a tutu in January for the 5k portion of the Dopey Challenge, it was okay, but certainly not anything I could wear for more than a few miles.  These skirts are perfect for any distance race and add a little sparkle and fun to race day. The assortment of choices ranges from fairy princesses to villains and some really great holiday choices as well.

As you can see, it was very easy to add tops and a few other accessories to complete a fun running outfit without much expense or trouble.  Reasonably priced at between $25 and $35 each, these skirts are a great way to put together an outfit for those who are not very creative, or who want just a little something extra for race day.

Having a little fun pre race!

We both enjoyed wearing these skirts at the Tower of Terror race and as you can see from the photo below, the skirts held up well and still looked great after one and a half hours of running!

If you are running any of the upcoming runDisney events in California such as the Avengers Half Marathon or the Star Wars Half Marathon, there are plenty of super hero options and galactic inspired skirts to choose from. And if you choose one of the Rock City Skirts, be sure to send us a photo to post during the race weekend!
