Weekly Roundup - May 17th

Summer has arrived and it has been such a hot week after arriving home from California late Monday night.  The trip was a whirlwind of fun and I can't imagine a better Mother's Day.  Running races at Disneyland and then celebrating with dinner at Carthay Circle that night followed by World of Color made for a perfect day. Despite two prior trips to Disneyland for races, viewing World of Color had never happened for me.  So I was determined we would view this as our last thing before hitting the bed Sunday night.
An adult beverage to celebrate our races!

After dinner we raced to Radiator Springs and then Toy Story.  Never let it be said that we don't push though the parks with great speed and determination!  And I am not talking about the races either!  Soon it was our time for World of Color show and I could not wait.  It did not disappoint and I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting the California Adventure park.

  2. It looks like you guys had a great two weeks. The ferris wheel with Mickey in the middle looks like fun and it's so neat you guys spent mother's day in Disney. I didn't even think about how the race fell on that day until now.

I raced Thursday night. Took Saturday off racing and I'll race again this Saturday. Good luck with training this week!

  6. Awww, World of Color is one thing we missed! I love how diligent you ladies are at recording your workouts from week to week. I started to record how many miles I would ride on my bike each day but started to get lazy at it. Since I won't be running much now I'll have to start keeping track of the other stuff I'm doing! -M

  9. You both have been having such a fun time. When I visit Disneyland, is it terrible that California Adventure Park is even more of a favorite than Disney Park itself:) World of Color is great!
4 weeks until the wedding, so awesome!

  10. Sounds like a great week! I loved World of Color at Disneyland too. I thought it was a really well done show. Carthay Circle was one of our best meals while we were in California, beat only by the Napa Rose Chef's Counter :)

  11. Shopping for wedding attire does count as exercise hehe :) I had a good week and ended it with my last half before marathon training. Not the race I hoped for, but there will be plenty more in the future.
