What to expect in 2016

Since we launched Two Runners Travel, we have spent some time thinking about what this space will look like this year. This blog started out as a way for us to keep track of our running and race memories. In addition, we tracked our workouts on a weekly basis. Remember weekly roundup posts? Yea, we barely do either.

Fewer, but more consistent posts
2015 was the year that life took priority over this blog. There were months when I, Christine, barely darkened the doors of this place. We plan to post on a more consistent basis but less each week. You can expect to see new posts two to three times per week this year. We haven't identified specific days that we'll be posting but you can expect the weekends to be quiet, as we prioritize family time and our own long runs.

Weekly workout logs
We plan to get back to posting our weekly workouts and hope to link these to specific racing and fitness goals, both for our own benefit and accountability and so you can see how we train for specific events.

An increasing focus on travel
It should come as no surprise that since we transitioned to Two Runners Travel, we plan to share more of our travel adventures. This may be sharing some photos from previous trips that we haven't discussed in detail on this space or new adventures.

But we want to hear from you...what are your favorite posts? What do you want to hear more of/less of? What do you like to see in weekly workout summaries?

  1. I'd love to get race recaps/reviews from your races. Since I am from a different part of the country and always looking for new races, having someone I know and trust review something first can be helpful. But frankly, I just love reading whatever you write.

    1. Thanks for your input, Emilie! Race recaps are definitely fun posts to write so we can keep those coming! If you are ever looking for a recap, check out the "Our Races" tab at the top of the page.

  3. I too will be posting less this year. Spending time with my little man will be a much higher priority than sitting in front of the computer writing a new post every day. I can't wait to read more about your travels, and hopefully get some ideas to add to my bucket list.

    1. Your son is definitely way more fun/important than blogging! :D I'm very interested in writing more about traveling...one of my favorite things and something that we don't often cover much on the blog.
