The ABCs of Christine!

I like reading random facts about other bloggers so after seeing Suz post her ABCs, I figured I would jump on the bandwagon! Hopefully you'll learn a few random things about me other than what you do know...I like running and travel, just finished PT and I quit my corporate job last fall.

A – Age: Isn't that on the list of things that ladies aren't supposed to share? Still legal, not eligible for social security.
B – Breakfast Today: plain Greek yogurt, strawberries, granola, and a drizzle of honey.
C – Current Time: 4:25 PM
D – Drink You Had Last: Water with lemon
E – Exercise of Choice: Running or biking outside or really any activity outside. I would much rather be active than simply workout.
Walking the beach in Cape Charles, VA
F – Favorite Song: All time favorite? Dang, that's hard. I love the song that Adam and I danced to for our first dance - Keb Mo, Life is Beautiful. I am also highly partial to any music that reminds me of mystery rides with my Dad - Tom Petty, Genesis, Dire Straits.
G – Grossest Memory: Throwing up in Burger King from spoiled milk. I think I was about 4 or so and I can remember everything about that morning. Blach!
H – Hometown: Beaumont, Texas
J – Jealous Of: No one really. I'm pretty cool with myself lately.

K – Kids: Does my Old English Sheepdog, Paddy count?

L - Longest Friendship: My friend Rachael. We met in French class in 7th grade. Later that week, she invited me over for dinner. She was wearing a Hard Rock Cafe shirt. And she gave a toast at our wedding. Below, you can see the photographic evidence of her outing me for a nerdy school project in front of my new husband and in-laws. Lots of laughs at my expense. She's cool like that! :)
M – Middle Name: Ann after my grandmother, but I kept my maiden name, Keenan, after I got hitched
N – Number of Siblings: None! I hated being an only child as a kid. I don't mind if much anymore.
O – Occupation: Personal trainer in training / writer
P – Pet Peeve: People who are late. Drives me bonkers!
Q – Question You’re Always Asked: As an adult, I think it's usually, "so what do you do?" I can't think of a question that I'm uniquely asked. Guess I'm not that interesting!
R – Reason to Smile: I smile a lot. I have the eye crinkles to prove it! So I don't really need a reason, but I'm really excited about this coming year...a new career path and setting back into running again. I think those are good reasons.
S – Snack You Ate Last: A salad with avocado and tomato
T – Time You Woke Up: 5:58 AM
U – Underwear Color: Hmm let me check. Pink!
V – Vacation Destination: Toss up between Hawaii and Paris. They're always on my brain, but we are planning a family vacation later this spring to the southern low country. I cannot wait! Shrimp and grits and pimento cheese, get in my belly!
Hawaii is pretty amazing!
W – Workout Today: 12 minute run walk, spin bike, strength training
X – X-Rays You’ve Had: Teeth, knees...I think that's it
Y – Your Favorite Food: Really, really good mac and cheese (we had it at our wedding!), Mom's chocolate cake, a really high quality filet, ice cream! My food choices are the picture of health, clearly.
I like my ice cream with lots of chocolate thingies in it!
Z – Zodiac Sign: Libra. I like balance, y'all!
Ok, your turn. Pick a letter to answer in the comments! Or do the whole survey!

  1. That's fun! I have been on a MAJOR ice cream crave lately, been going nuts! I'd put that under my current favorite food, but pizza and french fries are my all time faves! I like junk. :)

    1. I just bought a carton of mint chocolate chip yesterday. :) It's my favorite dessert.

  2. What a fun post! Last drink I had (and current drink right now) is also lemon water. I'm feeling a bit under the weather and hoping the lemon water alka seltzer cold and airborn will stop it before it gets worse!

  3. I once threw up in the movie theater. Only I was an adult! It was not fun (for anyone, I imagine).

I call my animals furkids. :)

HI is one of our favorite places -- we've been 3 times in the last decade!

    1. I hate throwing up period. It's the worst. I loved HI and have been lucky enough to go for work in addition to our honeymoon. It's just such a long trip from the East Coast!

  4. Aww! Love learning more about you! I also hate being late...but I married a man who seems to always be late! Drives me crazy lol!

    1. Haha that would make me nutty! :) My BFF (mentioned in this post) is habitually late. I have learned to just deal with it and I show up to wherever we're going later than scheduled ;)

  5. That Burger King incident sounds horrible! Mac and cheese is definitely one of my favorite foods too. I think it may be beaten out by pizza but it's a close call :)

  6. Could not agree more. Habitually late people drive me nuts. So many issues there.

    1. Haha yup. Funny...some close friends fall into this category but I like them enough to forgive this flaw :)

  7. This is a cute idea for a post. Agree with you on the pet peeve. In my world, ten minutes early is on time. If you show up a half hour after the time we agreed upon every single time, we have a problem.

    1. I'm usually early for everything and if I'm running a little late, I'm always very stressed out about it.

  8. Fun to learn more about you! I am with you on the late people, I hate them too.
Oh, and I could visit Hawaii anytime, my sister is leaving to go there next week and I am totally jealous and unfortunately no amount of talking could convince her that taking me as a nanny for the kids would be in her best interest, LOL LOL

  11. LOVE that you did this! I was raised by a perpetually early mom and a perpetually late dad. I am stuck somewhere in the middle: I am either 5-15 minutes early, or I am 5 minutes late. It is an issue.
I love that you and your best friend have been friends so long. One of my best friends and I have known each other since we were 5, but we didn't become close until just before she moved away in high school!

    1. Glad you shared the idea! :) That's neat that you have known a friend for so long. It's crazy when you think that you've known people for such a huge length of time when they're not family. I remember when I realized I had known Rachael for more than half my life - weird!

  13. Loved this ! So much fun getting to know other bloggers, thanks for sharing.

Q - Question you are always asked : Do you miss the States ? No, not really ! I miss my family and miss some things in the States but I love living in Europe. It suits my lifestyle and values.

  14. This was an interesting read! I love these surveys because you get to know the person better, beyond just workouts, races, etc. BTW, If you're coming through Charleston, I can definitely recommend some great restaurants here :).

  15. Paddy is so pretty, furry children absolutely count :)
I am only child too, sort of, I found I have half siblings later in life, but I grew up alone and always wanted brothers and sisters.
Mac and cheese is one of my favorite things, true comfort food!

  16. I love fun trivia posts such as this! It's been awhile since I've done something like that...and "ve been in a bit of a writer's slump from being on vacay and playing catch-up with everything (in other words, no time to simply just "sit and write). Thanks for sharing!!

  17. What a fun idea for a post. I might have to do my own ABCs post in the near future. Hawaii is definitely an amazing place, and your sunset picture is absolutely beautiful. Since we also went there for our honeymoon we had hoped to get back there for our 5 year anniversary this year, but between our family vacation to Disney in August and having an infant, that idea had to be put on the back burner. Some day!
